FASTSIGNS started in Dallas, Texas, in 1985. Within the first year, founders Gary Salomon and Bob Schanbaum realised there was a demand for both their signs, and the business model.
Intrigued by technological advances which made it possible for computerised systems to use precision-cut vinyl, Gary and Bob began producing high-quality signs. When our first centre opened, FASTSIGNS didn’t even have a printer! Early franchisees had to build-up signs using different coloured vinyl.
Due to advancements in digital and sign technology, franchisees no longer have to cut-and-paste, and our signs have gained a stronger-quality, ideal for today’s media-savvy, photogenic society. The visual impact of our signs is as impressive today, as they were back then, allowing brands to grab customers’ attention in increasingly creative ways so they stand out, for all the right reasons, in a visually-competitive world.
FASTSIGNS officially began franchising in 1986, reaching the UK ten years later. Over the last twenty-two years, the UK franchise network has gained momentum; you could join the world’s number one graphics and signage company, which will never go out of style.
