The FASTSIGNS® UK franchise network is demonstrating significant momentum in 2026, marking a period of strategic growth through high-calibre new ownership and substantial facility expansions across its 23-location network. From the Midlands to Hertfordshire, the brand continues to attract seasoned industrial leaders, while its established centres scale up to meet demand.
FASTSIGNS Gloucester Welcomes Global Operations Expert as new owner of the centre.
The Gloucester centre has entered a new era following its acquisition by Mark Wilsdon, a global industrial leader, with over 25 years of experience in the automotive industry. Most recently serving as an industrial operations director for American manufacturer Grupo Antolin.
Mark brings a wealth of expertise in managing multi-site production facilities to his role as the franchisee of FASTSIGNS Gloucester. After living in the United States for over a decade and being aware of the FASTSIGNS brand from his time there, Mark saw his opportunity to snap up FASTSIGNS Gloucester, as part of his plan to return to the UK. “FASTSIGNS is a household name in America, finding the Gloucester centre for sale, in the area I wanted to live in, felt like an opportunity I couldn’t miss,” comments Mark.
Mark will be pulling on his background in lean manufacturing, to drive operational enhancements and optimise the customer experience for the centre’s current customers, which includes Hartpury College and various local government and education entities.

FASTSIGNS Birmingham Centre Scales Up After 30 Years
In the Midlands, FASTSIGNS Birmingham has completed a major strategic relocation to a modern 2,000 sq. ft. facility, in Gravelly Industrial Park. This move marks the completion of a development plan initiated by father-and-son duo Nigel and Tom Gilpin when they took over the 30-year-old business in 2023.
The new premises almost double the centre’s previous space, providing significant operational advantages:
- Enhanced Capabilities: Interior vehicle bays now allow for on-site, temperature-controlled vehicle wrapping.
- Streamlined Production: An open-plan layout improves workflow efficiency.
- Customer Experience: A larger showroom featuring digital displays and built-up letters allows clients to interact with signage solutions tangibly.

St Albans Achieves Record Growth and Anniversary Milestone
Following its most successful year to date, highlighted by a massive 30% growth in turnover, FASTSIGNS St Albans has relocated to a 3,100 sq. ft. home, in the Sphere Industrial Estate. Franchisee Lee Simpson, who recently celebrated the centre’s five-year anniversary with the network, moved the operation to be closer to the St Albans business community.
The expansion follows Simpson’s decision to focus solely on the FASTSIGNS brand, after selling and exiting his previous venture, SIM Imaging. Supported by a team of five, Simpson now plans to recruit additional production and customer service experts to support a growing client list that includes prestigious brands like Brocket Hall and HR Owen.
A Vision for the Future
John Davies, Managing Director of FASTSIGNS UK, views these developments as a testament to the strength of the franchise model and the calibre of its partners.
“It is fantastic to see our franchise partners taking such proactive, strategic approaches to their territories,” said Davies. “Whether it’s welcoming a global leader like Mark Wilsdon or seeing established partners like Tom, Nigel and Lee scale their operations, these milestones set a new standard for signage solutions across the UK”.
